01 — Design Philosophy

A precision-fitted textile covering for the instrument you already play.

A GuitarJacket is a removable, interchangeable, precision-fitted textile covering for a guitar body, constructed from lightweight premium textiles and high-performance stretch materials, designed to alter the appearance of the guitar while preserving its acoustic character, playability, finish, and accessibility.

The GuitarJacket is a patented instrument-covering system that fits substantially over the body of the guitar while maintaining access to the pickups, controls, switches, bridge, output jack, strings, and other functional components.

The GuitarJacket protects the guitar from scratches, fingerprints, smudges, and routine handling wear while allowing the appearance of the guitar to be customized through an exterior structure designed around the geometry of the instrument itself. Because the GuitarJacket remains independent of the guitar, it may be installed, removed, exchanged, updated, or replaced without permanently altering the underlying instrument. The guitar remains a guitar. The controls remain accessible. The pickups remain exposed. The strings remain playable. The finish remains intact.

Our current offering is the GuitarJacket for the Fender Stratocaster, developed around the geometry of modern Fender Stratocaster guitars. This model allows customer-supplied artwork, photography, illustrations, and graphics to become part of the GuitarJacket through a sublimation printing process in which the image is transferred into the textile itself. The printed image is not a surface sticker, coating, or temporary decoration; it becomes part of the material used to construct the fitted exterior.

This distinction matters because the GuitarJacket for the Fender Stratocaster is not simply an image placed on a guitar. It is a precision-made textile covering built to work with the shape, hardware, contours, and playing function of the instrument. The fit, openings, edges, printed face, stretch behavior, and installation method must all work together so the finished GuitarJacket appears intentional, remains playable, and respects the guitar underneath it.

The sections below explain the practical details behind that design. The Compatibility Explorer helps determine whether a particular Stratocaster falls within the range of supported body geometries. The close-up product view shows the fit, openings, edges, print surface, and construction details in greater detail. The FAQ addresses common questions about installation, removal, playability, sound, care, and ordering. Additional guidance explains how artwork is submitted and how the finished GuitarJacket is prepared for shipment so the printed face arrives without being folded or creased.

02 — Compatibility

Does the GuitarJacket fit your guitar?

A few quick questions to see whether your guitar falls within the supported Stratocaster geometry range. This is guidance, not a guaranteed fit — when in doubt, talk to us first.

Step 1 of 3

What year was your Stratocaster manufactured?

GuitarJacket is designed for modern Fender Stratocaster geometry. If you're still unsure, please contact support — this tool is guidance, not a guaranteed fit.

04 — FAQ

Questions worth asking.

Does it affect the sound?

No. The pickups stay exposed and the strings, bridge, and electronics are untouched, so the instrument's acoustic and amplified character is preserved.

Does it affect playability?

No. The fretboard, controls, and playing surfaces remain fully accessible. The jacket covers the body face, not the parts of the guitar you play.

Will it damage the finish?

It is designed to do the opposite. The jacket is a removable textile covering that shields the body from scratches, fingerprints, smudges, and routine handling wear. It does not permanently alter the underlying guitar.

How is it installed and removed?

The jacket fits substantially over the guitar body and is designed to go on and come off without tools. It is removable and interchangeable by design.

Can the knobs be removed and reinstalled?

Yes. Standard Stratocaster knobs pull off and press back on, which is part of fitting the jacket around the control area. If you are unsure, contact us before ordering and we will walk you through it.

How is the artwork printed?

Your artwork is transferred into the textile using sublimation printing. The image becomes part of the material rather than a surface graphic sitting on top of it.

Will the print peel or rub off?

Because the print is sublimated into the fibers rather than applied as a surface layer, there is no film to peel, crack, or rub away under normal handling.

How is it shipped?

Each jacket is made to order and packaged to arrive protected. Production and shipping timing is confirmed with your order.

How do I care for it?

It is a textile, so it can be removed and gently cleaned as needed. Avoid harsh handling at the edges. Detailed care guidance is included with your order.

What if I am unsure about compatibility?

Use the Compatibility section above for a quick read, then contact us before ordering. We would rather confirm the fit with you than have you guess.
